The part of Fort Worth we mean
Fort Worth is a big city, and downtown is a long drive from our shop in Irving. So this page is about one part of it: the northeast edge. That is the stretch of Fort Worth that runs along Mosier Valley Road, between Trinity Boulevard and the Euless line, in ZIP 76040. It is the part of Fort Worth we can reach fast.
If you are not sure whether you live in that corner, here are places nearby that people use to give directions. Central Junior High School in Euless is about a mile away. River Legacy Park on the Arlington side and West Park in Euless are each about a mile and a half away. Rickel Park in Hurst is about the same. The Historic Bird’s Fort Site in Arlington is a little over two and a half miles out. If those are your nearby places, you are in the area this page is about.
How we get to you
From our shop at 1823 Finley Road in Irving, the drive is about 11.8 miles and takes about 19 minutes. We take North Story Road to Airport Freeway, run west on Airport Freeway to North Industrial Boulevard, follow Highway 157 south to Trinity Boulevard, then turn onto House Anderson Road and Mosier Valley Road. The last turns are Trinity Boulevard and House Anderson Road, then House Anderson Road and Mosier Valley Road. Being that close means we can come for the walk-through, start on the date you pick, and come back the same week if a board needs another look.
What hardwood floor refinishing involves
Refinishing keeps the wood you have and gives it a new surface. Every job starts the same way.
- Walk-through. We check every room for loose boards, water stains and deep scratches, and we check how much wood is left above the tongue so we sand the right amount.
- Repairs. Damaged boards get fixed or replaced before any sanding. Our hardwood floor repair page shows the kinds of fixes we make.
- Sanding. We sand down to clean, bare wood with sanders hooked to a vacuum. Our dustless floor sanding page explains how the dust stays in the bag.
- Color. If you want a new stain color, we test it on your own floor first, in your own light.
- Finish. We seal the floor with the finish you choose and let each coat dry before the next.
Not every worn floor needs all of that. If the scratches stay in the top coat, a screen, buff and recoat can bring the shine back in far less time. If the wood itself is gray, gouged or bare in the traffic lanes, you need a full sand and finish. We tell you which one at the walk-through, and the main hardwood floor refinishing page has the full details.
Signs your floor is ready for refinishing
You can check your own floor before you call. Look at the spots people walk on most: the path from the back door to the kitchen, the hallway, the space in front of the couch. If the finish there looks cloudy, the wood looks gray, or water soaks in instead of beading up, the finish is worn through. Gray patches usually mean water got into the wood. Sanding often takes them out. If it goes deeper, we replace those boards and blend them in before the stain goes on.

Questions people near Mosier Valley Road ask
Do you work in all of Fort Worth?
We take refinishing jobs across Fort Worth, but this page is about the northeast corner along Mosier Valley Road and Trinity Boulevard. That part of the city is about 19 minutes from our Irving shop, so scheduling there is easy.
Is my home in Fort Worth or in Euless?
Many homes near Mosier Valley Road have a Euless or Fort Worth mailing name in ZIP 76040. It does not change anything for us. If you are near Trinity Boulevard, we cover you either way.
How long does a refinishing job take?
It depends on how many rooms we do, how much repair the floor needs and the finish you choose, because each coat has to dry before the next. You get the full schedule at the walk-through, before you book.
Will you move my furniture?
Tell us what is in the rooms at the walk-through. We plan the order of the rooms with you so you know what needs to be cleared and when.
Can sanding remove water stains?
Light gray stains often sand out. Dark or black stains usually mean the water went deep, and those boards may need to be replaced. We show you which is which on the walk-through.
Can you match the color of the rest of my house?
We test stain on your own floor first so you can compare it with the rooms we are not touching. You pick the patch that matches.
Is a screen and recoat enough for my floor?
If the scratches are only in the finish and the wood is not gray or bare, a screen and recoat may be all you need. We will tell you honestly which one your floor needs.
Do you refinish engineered wood floors?
Often, yes. It depends on how thick the real wood layer is. We check before we sand so we never sand through it.
How far is your shop from northeast Fort Worth?
Our shop is at 1823 Finley Road in Irving. The drive to Mosier Valley Road is about 11.8 miles, about 19 minutes by car.
How do I set up a walk-through?
Call us or use the contact form. We will set a time to see the floor, measure the rooms and give you a written price before any work starts.
